Who Is Seacoast?

Seacoast Christian School was founded in 1984 on the primary principal “that in all things Christ may have preeminence” Col. 1:18.

Seacoast Christian School exists to equip its students to become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ in all areas of life.

Our Mission

Christ First

In all we do, whether academic or extracurricular, in our conversations and education, glorifying and exemplifying Christ will be our primary objective.

Quality Education

Prioritizing students' needs and academic growth at every grade level while regularly monitoring the best curriculum and academic opportunities.

Unity

Engaging with staff, parents, and students to always work together toward our common goals.

Student Life

SCS serves students in grades Pre-K (age 4) – 12th grade. Our academics are rooted in Christ centered curriculums (primarily Abeka and Bob Jones) and taught by Christ centered teachers. With class sizes ranging from 5-15 on average, Seacoast has a unique opportunity to know students as individuals rather than just as names on a chart.

SCS offers both Varsity and Junior High athletic programs throughout the school year. Current offerings include Soccer (JH and Varsity), Cross Country (JH and Varsity), Basketball (JH and Varsity), and Track and Field (Varsity). Our teams compete in both the MCSSL (Maine Christian School Sports League), and the MPA (Maine Principal Association) depending on the sport.

Along with athletic and academic opportunities, SCS has been growing in its school club offerings. Current clubs include: Drama Club, Art Club, Chess Club, and Robotics.

Future Growth

SCS is at its highest enrollment in over a decade, with 130 students currently enrolled. Over 40 years of operation SCS has seen God’s hand and provision, and it is evident that He is still continuously active and at work within all that is happening within and around the school. SCS is striving to continue to grow, with goals of building enrollment to a total of 180 students in order to maintain our personal and individual approach to education and relationship with our families. Within our academics, staff have big dreams of continuing to develop our class and learning opportunities to help provide options to the variety of learners that attend the school.
