our founding

On September 5th, Seacoast Christian School will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, and the legacy of God’s provision throughout those 40 years. In August of 1984, a group of parents and teachers, sharing the mutual passion for Christ centered education gathered in a home, on their knees, praying for God to provide a space for a school. Within a week, God showed up – because He always does! God opened the door that led to 26 Paul St, in South Berwick ME and Seacoast Christian School was founded.

our present

Over the last 40 years, God has built a firm foundation for Seacoast Christian School. Through many trials and changes, faithfulness in God’s plan has remained steadfast. On March 13th, 2024, Seacoast was dealt, what many would see as a devastating loss. The gymnasium had a catastrophic fire, leading to the need for a full demo and rebuild. At Seacoast Christian School we see this as a moment for faith – trusting God’s plan, just as the founders did in 1984, that if we boldly step forward into God’s plan, He will provide a way for rebuilding and establishing a home for the future. In stepping forward in faith, at this moment in time, we are beginning a capital campaign to Fund the Future of Seacoast Christian School – providing a Christ Centered education and home for the Guardians for the next 40 years.

funding the future

As we look to our future, we can see the transforming work that God has been, is, and will continue to use to shape and mold Seacoast Christian School into the school He desires it to be. While we are excited to embark on this journey that God has laid out for us, we know that there are steps we must take to achieve the big goals that we have set for ourselves. We are a small school built on relationship and humble beginnings. We believe that a new gym space provides a home for our student activities and athletic programs. Beyond that, it gives us the opportunity to be a beacon to our community and build deep and long-lasting relationships. To do this – we need participation, partnership, and people. In order to launch ourselves into the future, we have big lifting to do – but we believe that together, as we follow God faithfully, we can accomplish these goals.

Will you partner with us, and help fund the next 40 years of Seacoast Christian School?
