Key Meeting on the Purchase of the School facilities held 2/8
The SCS Board presented details on the recent Purchase and Sales agreement to the Friends and families of Seacoast Christian School at a meeting at the school February 8th. A development program has been started and teams of people are beginning a fund drive to acquire the funds necessary to complete the agreement in the Fall of 2010.
A fellowship time followed in the school's cafeteria.
Seacoast Christian School and TBS Agree on Purchase and Sale terms!
A major step in Seacoast Christian School history occurred on January 9th as the SCS Board and TBS Board signed a purchase and sales agreement following a year of research and negotiation.
This agreement now allows SCS nine months to raise funds and complete the sale in the fall of 2010. If the funds are raised and an ownership transfer completed in the October timeframe, TBS is expected to remain as tenants for the next few years.
Seacoast Christian School has made significant renovations to the rented facilities over the last three years. The school board plans to broaden the renovation efforts over the next three to five years to include major energy renovations in addition to the remodeling efforts.
Both governing boards have seen the hand of God opening a door of opportunity for these two distinct, yet concurrent ministries to continue to fulfill their visions in different and innovative ways. We are excited to see what God has planned for us.
