"Phantom of the Auction"

The 2008 Seacoast Auction once again proved to be a fun evening with lots of donated items from very generous sponsors and supporters of Seacoast Christian School. We wish to thank all the businesses, groups, and individuals who donated the many auction items.

Over $13,000 in proceeds were raised and targeted for the building fund for the future SCS Campus.

The evening was launched by MC Jon St. Pierre (thank you, Jon). Returning to oversee, control, and in many cases instigate, the bidding wars were Joel Beers and Nathan Rockafeller. They brought a lot of fun (and competition) to the bidding process and we thank them for their service.

Dana Robinson, Vice-Chairman for the SCS Board, described the exciting renovation plans to upkeep the current facility this summer. Beginning with the office renovations and new classroom construction on the first floor, to the locker and classroom door replacements on the bottom floor, Mr. Robinson describe the exciting summer that awaits, which actually has already begun.

He noted a demolition work day for Saturday, June 14th, to prepare the areas for the new construction. Please watch the Parent Weekly for more details. If you can help with general labor, skilled labor or materials please contact the school office (207-384-5759) to let us know! Join the team!

A special Open House is being scheduled for mid-August to invite everyone to come and see the changes.

A special thanks to Mike Hennessey and the entire auction team and the supporting sub-teams (dinner team, financial team, decoration teams) for all their hard word. Very nicely done.

Thanks to all who bid and supported the school!
