SCS Distinctives
As a small private school, Seacoast Christian School distinguishes itself by providing individual attention to students' intellectual, spiritual, and physical development. SCS students are educated and nurtured by Christian educators who understand their individual needs and innate gifts. SCS teachers facilitate growth and development through an array of enrichment offerings and personalized attention.
Mission
Seacoast Christian School exists to prepare students to be lifelong servants of God. SCS teaches, influences, and encourages each student to effectively integrate Biblical truth into his/her daily life and to impact the culture for Christ.
Vision
Our vision is to provide an academically challenging, affordable and distinctly Christian education for students in the Maine/NH seacoast area. We are committed to modeling our faith in Christ in our community.
Statement of Faith
With conservative Christianity as an ever visible thread throughout all learning, Seacoast Christian School provides for the whole student, mind, body, and soul. The education I received at Seacoast equipped me for success at the collegiate, military, and post graduate levels.

Preschool
PK –- K. Seacoast Christian School provides children with an educational foundation that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning. Our pre-school program (2 full days/week) transitions children into students by leveraging their natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge in a friendly and fun environment. Our Pre-Kindergarten students are ready to begin reading in Kindergarten! The Kindergarten program (3 full days/week) fosters a love of learning that prepares students for elementary school and beyond.
Elementary School
Grades 1-6. The lower school enables students to discover and celebrate the gifts that God has bestowed upon them. Seacoast Christian School has a devoted, nurturing faculty that is dedicated to the development of well-rounded students. SCS provides students with a solid foundation for subsequent knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to integrate God’'s Word into their daily lives.
Junior High
Grades 7-8. The middle-school years are filled with change, energy and excitement, and our Junior High strives to make the most of this dynamic and formative window of time. Our desire is to encourage students in their deepening love of Christ, while providing an academically challenging education that will prepare them to meet the requirements of high school. Through chapel programs, curriculum, and daily interaction with teachers, our students find an emotional and spiritual haven as well as a place of intellectual challenge.
High School
Grades 9-12. SCS focuses on developing the whole child for the glory of God. The High School curriculum is designed to develop students' intellectual skills as well as their capacity to grow in knowledge of His truth. Our program addresses the spiritual, intellectual, and physical development of each student. SCS graduates are competent individuals who are academically and spiritually prepared for the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country.
Discovery Learning Center
The Discovery program is designed to provide educational therapy to students who are experiencing difficulty succeeding in the classroom. Developed by the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD), this program provides intensive perceptual and cognitive stimulation that strengthens areas of weakness.

Athletics
The goal of Seacoast Christian Athletics is to produce positive Christian men and women who honor the Lord on and off the field. SCS embraces the belief that the athlete's character comes first. Winning is secondary. SCS students can participate in Cross Country, Basketball, and Track & Field. Our dedicated coaches are committed to developing athletes, both physically and spiritually. Our ultimate goal is that the world will see Christ in us as we compete.
Fine Arts
The arts program not only enriches the SCS curriculum, it is a vital component of a well-rounded educational experience. The arts faculty encourages students to explore expression through art while learning technique to build upon their innate talents. The art faculty is committed to helping all students discover the joy of creative expression and worship. To help students fully experience the process of communicating through art, the school hosts a Fine Arts event each spring.
Music
Seacoast Christian School students understand that music is not only for performance, but also to express praise. SCS students explore music through a variety of venues, including vocals, instruments and our esteemed bell choir. Students will learn music theory as well as skills for performance. Private music lessons are also available to students who wish to pursue their musical ambitions outside of the classroom.
Service
At Seacoast Christian School, students have the opportunity to explore and develop their passions in and out of the classroom. While SCS offers rigorous academics, students also participate in a rich student life that encourages fun, altruism, leadership, and a dedication to serving God and others. Through their involvement in community service, clubs, mission trips, and class projects, students cultivate lifelong friendships and integrate their spiritual life into everyday actions.
Seacoast Christian school exists to provide a solid educational foundation that is deeply rooted in Christian principles. For over 25 years, we’ve been launching young people into the world, confident in their knowledge of God, and fully capable of pursuing higher education, full time employment or ministry.
